TVWLL will be sponsoring a Women’s high school U19 team for the 2009 Vail Shootout. This year, we’ll put Idaho’s best together and compete on a national level with teams from the US and Canada! Coaches from all over the US will be attending and it’s a great opportunity to gain national exposure.

Cost will be $575.00 per player ($200.00 due immediately by April 30th to reserve our place at Vail). Additional fund raising details will follow once we’ve confirmed the team. Balance due of 375.00 is June 19th.

All HS participants must be in high school or graduated in May or June of the current year.
Each PLAYER must be a member of the US Lacrosse Inc.

Murray Owen, EHS LAX Club coach and Jo Jo Brunelle, coach of Bishop Kelly will be co coaching the Vail team. Parent help will be required for this event, so PLEASE LET US KNOW OF YOUR INTEREST! Vail Shootout Summary:

When: Leave Saturday, June 27th at 6:30 am. We meet in front of Cabela’s by the Boise Towne Square Mall (8109 W Franklin Rd Boise). We expect to arrive around 8 pm in Vail on Saturday. We return on Thursday July 2nd and arrive late at evening (8 to 9 pm).

Where: Vail, Colorado – Accommodation is at the Arrowhead Condos, in Beaver Creek. We have four condos with bedrooms and sofa beds. Each unit will have two adult chaperons.

Meals: Sunday to Thursday morning meals are include with the fees and the diligent shopping efforts of Melinda Seevers (Thank Melinda!). Extra meal money will be need for the travel days for Saturday for lunch and dinner and the return trip home (40 to 50 dollars should be lots).

How: Transportation will be by 15 passenger Van and volunteer parent drives (we have two cab trucks for equipment and one car – all parent and chaperon driven).

Suggested Packing List (Limit of one bag and one day pack)

Clothes (shorts, shirts, pants, sweatshirts) enough for 6 days
Underwear, socks
Toiletries (shampoo, brush, toothbrush, deodorant, etc)
Lax stick
Mouth guard
Water bottle
Stuff to do in the car (iPod, books, etc)
Cell phone, Cell phone charger
Money for food and merchandise
Sunscreen, Sunglasses, Sweatpants/sweatshirt

Practice Times and Locations:

Practice starts the week of June 8th. 

Location for the first week will be Eagle Middle School, 7 pm to 9 pm Mon., Tues., Wed., Thurs., and Saturday morning from 10 am to 12 noon.

Fund Raising:

We had a suggustion of selling coffee.  Can anyone help here and lead the fund raising (ie car wash, coffee, or other ideas, etc.)  The leader can be a parent or student who takes charge.

Travel Information to Date:

  • Leave Saturday, June 27th & arrive late at night.  Meet at Cabela’s by Boise Town Mall @ 6:30 am.
